Growing up in Appalachian Ohio, I learned the power of details. Paying attention to what makes a place and time unique is how stories are created.

I choose these details of my photography with purpose. What is included or excluded determines the story that is told.

And ultimately, that is always the goal – to tell a story with each frame for my client and for myself. And the best stories touch on something deeper.

Art is human, and I am passionately human-focused

Photography can be very personal. I focus on making my clients comfortable and proud of not only the photos I take, but also who they are beyond the frame.

Taking care in each step of the process, even before I pick up my camera, ensures a greater level of comfort and quality to the content I capture and the experiences I share.

And by exploring other art mediums like music, writing, and performing, I stay in touch with the human core of photography. Diverse artistic perspectives inspire and inform each other.

While many factors contribute to my success, a deep desire to learn and grow is by far the most impactful.

I am truly proud of what I do and know, yet will always remain humbly searching for what I don’t. To continue creating in any form, I continue learning.

And I bring this learning mentality to both my clients and the work I create for them.
